⁶ Therefore, as you have received ^(A)Christ Jesus the Lord, so ^[a](B)walk in Him, ⁷ having been firmly ^(C)rooted and now being ^(D)built up in Him and ^(E)established ^[b]in ^[c]your faith, just as you ^(F)were instructed, and overflowing ^[d]with gratitude.

^8 (G)See to it that there is no one who takes you captive through ^(H)philosophy and empty deception in accordance with human tradition, in accordance with the ^(I)elementary principles of the world, ^[e]rather than in accordance with Christ.

To Live Is Christ

²¹ For to me, ^(A)to live is Christ, and to die is gain. ^22 [a]But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean ^(B)fruitful labor for me; and I do not know ^[b]which to choose. ²³ But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the ^(C)desire to depart and ^(D)be with Christ, for that is very much better; ²⁴ yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sakes.

¹⁰ Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more diligent to make certain about His ^(A)calling and ^(B)choice of you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never ^(C)stumble; ¹¹ for in this way the entrance into ^(D)the eternal kingdom of our ^(E)Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be ^(F)abundantly ^(G)supplied to you.
